One Health starts at home.

The spirit of the One Health Initiative is as relevant to our neighborhoods as it is to our planet. At Changing the Streets, we believe that collaborations between human medicine, veterinary medicine, and environmental science are the key to thriving communities.

Community-centered healthcare—for both ends of the leash

The bond between humans and animals is powerful, and no one should have to choose between medical care for themselves and their pets. Often, individuals facing economic hardship will prioritize the wellbeing of their animals over their own. Our pop-up clinics are an important extension of our mission to provide comprehensive community healthcare by providing services to pets and their owners at the same time.

We are proud to partner with organizations like SAFE, the Macon Volunteer Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, and the Mercer School of Medicine to bring treatments and preventative care to the neighborhoods that need them most.

Thanks to the generous donations from animal lovers and the team that works very hard at Changing the Streets and SAFE. They were able to not only help me, but helped my pets... Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
